• Clean the IR receiver window on the indoor unit with a soft dry cloth.
• Check the remote for a lock icon; disable child lock according to the Daikin remote manual.
• Try standing closer and pointing the remote directly at the receiver.

Technician tasks:

• Test the IR receiver board and replace if it does not respond to a known-good remote.
• Check indoor PCB for control signal processing faults.
