Display shows CF after a certain number of operating hours; unit still runs.

Note: CF is a maintenance reminder, not a failure code.

Steps:

• 1. Remove and clean filter: Slide out the air filter from behind the front grille. Wash with warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely.
• 2. Clean intake grille: Wipe down the intake and discharge grilles with a damp cloth to remove dust.
• 3. Reset indicator: On most Danby models, press and hold the FILTER RESET or TIMER button (check your manual) for 3–5 seconds until CF clears.
