How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before servicing.
Steps:
- 1. Access evaporator: Remove front cover and inner shroud to expose the evaporator coil.
- 2. Locate sensor: Find the thermistor clipped or taped to the evaporator tubing. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- 3. Inspect and reseat: Follow the sensor wires to the PCB, checking for damage. Reseat the connector.
- 4. Measure resistance: Test the thermistor with a multimeter. Replace if readings are open/shorted or out of range.
- 5. PCB replacement: If the sensor is good and wiring intact, replace the main control board.
