Remote control does not operate the air conditioner.

Steps:

• 1. Replace batteries: Install fresh, correctly oriented batteries in the remote.
• 2. Check line of sight: Ensure there is a clear path between the remote and the IR receiver window on the front panel. Clean the receiver window with a soft cloth.
• 3. Test remote: Point the remote at a smartphone camera and press buttons; you should see the IR LED flash on the camera screen. If not, the remote is faulty and should be replaced.
• 4. IR receiver: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or main PCB may be defective. Access the control panel, check the small IR board connection, and replace the IR receiver module if necessary.
