Possible Causes
Damaged communication cable, Incorrect wiring between indoor and outdoor terminals, Mismatched indoor and outdoor model pairing, Faulty indoor PCB, Faulty outdoor PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the main breaker before opening any covers.
Steps:
- Confirm model compatibility: Check that the indoor and outdoor units are designed to work together (same series and capacity as per Electrolux documentation).
- Verify wiring: Open the indoor and outdoor electrical covers. Confirm that terminal labels (e.g., 1-2-3 or L-N-S) are wired identically and securely. Tighten any loose screws.
- Inspect cable: Look for physical damage along the interconnecting cable. Replace if there are cuts, burns, or crushed sections.
- Check grounding: Ensure proper earth/ground connection at both units. Poor grounding can cause communication noise.
- Power cycle: After corrections, turn power back on and test. If E6 persists, the communication circuits on either PCB may be defective.
Board-level diagnosis and replacement should be performed by an authorized technician.
