Possible Causes
Failed indoor DC fan motor, Blocked or jammed blower wheel, Faulty fan motor hall sensor, Loose fan motor connector, Defective indoor PCB fan driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before working near the blower or PCB.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Remove the front cover and filters. Inspect the blower wheel for foreign objects (plastic, insulation, insects) preventing rotation. Remove any debris.
- Spin test: Gently rotate the blower by hand. It should spin freely without grinding. If stiff or noisy, the motor bearings may be failing.
- Inspect wiring: Locate the indoor fan motor connector on the PCB. Reseat the connector and check for corrosion or burnt pins.
- Test operation: Restore power and run the fan-only mode. If the fan does not start or starts then stops with E7, the motor or its hall sensor is likely faulty.
- Replace motor: Remove the blower assembly according to the service manual and install a new Electrolux indoor DC fan motor. Ensure correct wiring and secure mounting.
If a new motor does not resolve E7, the indoor PCB fan driver circuit may need replacement.
