Possible Causes
Drifted NTC sensor, Sensor not positioned in airflow, Loose sensor connector, Faulty indoor PCB ADC circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing covers.
Steps:
- Locate sensor: Find the room temperature sensor near the air intake grille. Ensure it is not buried in insulation or touching metal surfaces.
- Reposition: Clip or tape the sensor so it is exposed to return air, not directly to the coil or casing.
- Check connection: Reseat the sensor connector on the PCB.
- Replace sensor: If F1 persists, replace the indoor ambient NTC sensor. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the indoor PCB may be defective.
