How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power.
Steps:
- Check sensor mounting: Ensure the evaporator sensor is firmly clipped to the coil and not hanging loose.
- Inspect for corrosion: Clean any oxidation on the connector with contact cleaner and reseat.
- Replace sensor: Install a new evaporator temperature sensor if F2 recurs.
- Board check: If a new sensor does not fix F2, the indoor PCB sensor circuit may require replacement.
