H1
Electrolux
Defrost / Preheating Indication (Protection Mode)
Display shows H1, unit does not blow warm air immediately in heating mode

Possible Causes
Outdoor unit in defrost cycle, Low outdoor temperature causing extended preheat, Frost buildup on outdoor coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: H1 on many Electrolux heat pump models is an informational code, not a fault.
Steps:
- Wait for cycle: Allow 5–15 minutes for the defrost or preheat cycle to complete. The indoor fan may run slowly or stop to prevent cold drafts.
- Check outdoor unit: Ensure the outdoor coil is not heavily iced over. Light frost is normal; thick ice indicates a defrost or airflow issue.
- Clear obstructions: Remove snow, leaves, or debris blocking the outdoor coil.
If H1 remains for an unusually long time and heating is poor, a technician should check the defrost sensor and control logic.
