Possible Causes
Incorrect mode or temperature setting, Faulty remote control or batteries, Faulty indoor PCB relay, Faulty communication with outdoor unit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work should be done with power on.
Steps:
- Verify settings: Ensure the unit is set to Cool mode with a temperature at least 2–3°C below room temperature.
- Remote control: Replace batteries, clean the IR window on both remote and indoor unit, and try again.
- Manual operation: Use the emergency/manual button on the indoor unit (if available) to test operation.
- Check timer: Make sure no ON/OFF timer is set that could be preventing operation.
- Technician check: If the indoor fan runs but the outdoor unit never starts, a technician should check the indoor PCB output, communication line, and outdoor PCB.
