Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain line, Improper indoor unit leveling, Disconnected drain hose, Frozen evaporator coil melting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the unit and disconnect power before working near water and electrical parts.
Steps:
- Check filters: Clean dirty filters to improve airflow and reduce icing.
- Inspect drain pan: Remove the front cover and check if the drain pan is overflowing or dirty. Clean out slime, algae, and debris.
- Clear drain line: Locate the drain outlet outside. Use a wet/dry vacuum on the outlet to suck out clogs, or gently blow compressed air from the indoor side.
- Check unit level: Ensure the indoor unit is slightly tilted toward the drain side as per Electrolux installation guidelines.
- Look for ice: If the coil is frozen, let it thaw completely, then restart. Persistent icing indicates a deeper issue (refrigerant, airflow) requiring a technician.
