High Temperature Indication / Overheat Protection
Display shows HI and unit may not reach set temperature
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Room temperature above display range, sensor out of calibration, extremely high ambient conditions, poor insulation or oversized load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work is usually required for a simple HI indication.
Steps:
- Verify actual temperature: Use a separate thermometer to confirm room temperature. If it is extremely high, allow time for the unit to cool the space.
- Improve conditions: Close windows and doors, use blinds to reduce solar gain, and reduce heat sources in the room.
- Sensor check: If the room is not excessively hot but HI is displayed, inspect and test the ambient sensor as in E1/F2.
