Possible Causes
Condensate tank nearing capacity, restricted internal drain path, float switch calibration issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before draining.
Steps to address P2:
- Drain condensate: Follow the same procedure as for P1: remove the lower drain plug and drain water into a pan.
- Clean drain path: If P2 recurs quickly, flush the internal drain path with a small amount of warm water and a mild vinegar solution to remove algae or scale (avoid spilling inside the electronics).
- Check float movement: Ensure the float moves freely and is not obstructed by dirt or foreign objects.
- Continuous drain option: Consider connecting a continuous drain hose to the designated port and routing it to a floor drain to prevent future P2 alerts.
