Front panel buttons do not respond, but remote works

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the front panel.

Steps:

• Check child lock: Some models have a lock function. Refer to the user manual to disable any lock mode.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front bezel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control board.
• Check for moisture: Look for signs of water intrusion around the keypad. Dry thoroughly if present.
• Replace keypad: If buttons remain unresponsive, replace the control panel / keypad assembly with the correct Friedrich part.
