Remote control does not operate the unit

Steps:

• Replace batteries: Install new batteries in the remote.
• Confirm model: Ensure you are using a compatible Friedrich remote for your specific model.
• Clear line of sight: Remove any objects blocking the IR receiver window on the unit.
• Test remote: Use a smartphone camera to see if the remote’s IR LED flashes when buttons are pressed. If not, replace the remote.
• Receiver board: If the remote works but the unit does not respond, the IR receiver board or main PCB may need replacement.
