Control panel buttons do not respond or respond intermittently; display may flicker.

Safety: Unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps:

• 1. Try remote: If the remote control operates the unit normally, the issue is likely with the front panel buttons, not the main board.
• 2. Remove bezel: Carefully remove the front bezel to access the control panel. Check for moisture, corrosion, or insect contamination.
• 3. Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the keypad/display and the main control board.
• 4. Replace control panel: If specific buttons never work or the membrane is cracked, replace the entire control panel or display PCB assembly with a Frigidaire-compatible part.
