Possible Causes
Failed condenser thermistor, loose or corroded connector, damaged harness, defective main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power. Allow the unit to cool before working near the condenser section.
Steps:
- 1. Access rear/condenser section: Remove the rear panel to expose the condenser coil and locate the sensor attached to the coil.
- 2. Inspect sensor and wiring: Ensure the sensor is clipped securely and wires are intact. Reseat the connector.
- 3. Test sensor: Use a multimeter to check resistance at room temperature. Replace if out of spec.
- 4. Replace main board if needed: If a known-good sensor does not clear F3, the main control board likely needs replacement.
