Possible Causes
Full internal condensate tank, stuck float switch, blocked drain hose, failed condensate pump (if equipped)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug it before draining water.
Steps:
- 1. Drain the tank: Move the unit to a location where water spillage is acceptable. Remove the drain plug or cap at the bottom rear and drain water into a shallow pan or tray.
- 2. Check float switch: Remove the access panel to locate the float assembly in the condensate reservoir. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck by debris or scale. Clean as needed.
- 3. Inspect drain hose (if used): If using continuous drain, ensure the hose is not kinked, elevated above the outlet, or blocked. Flush the hose with water.
- 4. Condensate pump (if equipped): Listen for pump operation when the tank is nearly full. If the pump does not run, check wiring and replace the pump if failed.
- 5. Reset: After draining and cleaning, reinstall plugs and panels, then plug in and restart. F4 should clear if the float switch is working.
