Possible Causes
Full internal water tank, blocked internal drain passage, kinked or elevated drain hose, stuck float switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn the unit off and unplug it before draining.
Steps:
- 1. Drain water: Move the unit to a location where spills are acceptable. Remove the lower drain cap and rubber plug. Drain water into a shallow pan until flow stops.
- 2. Clear blockage: If water trickles slowly, gently insert a small flexible brush or plastic zip tie into the drain port to clear debris. Do not use metal objects that can puncture plastic.
- 3. Check float: Access the internal tank and verify that the float moves freely up and down. Clean any slime or scale buildup.
- 4. Continuous drain setup: If you prefer not to drain manually, attach a suitable drain hose to the continuous drain outlet and route it to a floor drain, ensuring a downward slope.
- 5. Reset: Reinstall the drain plug and cap, plug the unit back in, and restart. P1 should clear once the float switch detects low water level.
