How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and remove it from the window or sleeve if necessary.
Steps:
- Remove cabinet: Take off the outer shell to access the condenser coil and compressor area.
- Locate outdoor sensor: Find the thermistor attached to the condenser coil or near the compressor.
- Inspect and secure: Ensure it is properly attached and wiring is intact.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to GE specs. Replace if out of range.
- Check board: If sensor is good and wiring is intact, replace the main control board.
