Possible Causes
Corrupted EEPROM data on indoor main PCB, Loose or oxidized PCB connectors, Indoor main control board failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the air conditioner with the remote, switch off the circuit breaker, and wait at least 5 minutes before touching any wiring. Do not work on live circuits.
- Power reset: Turn off the breaker for 5–10 minutes to allow the control board to fully discharge. Restore power and check if E0 clears.
- Check indoor PCB connections: Remove the indoor unit front cover, carefully open the control box cover, and inspect all low-voltage connectors on the indoor PCB. Reseat any loose plugs and look for corrosion or burn marks.
- Check communication cable: If this is a multi-split or has wired controller, verify the communication cable is firmly connected and not pinched or damaged.
- If E0 persists: The EEPROM data or indoor PCB is likely faulty. Replacement of the indoor main control board is usually required and should be done by a qualified technician to avoid damage to the refrigerant system or electrical hazards.
