Possible Causes
Blocked condenser coil, Outdoor fan failure, Low or high refrigerant charge, Compressor internal fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the outdoor unit to cool before inspection.
- Clean outdoor coil: Remove debris and wash the condenser fins with low-pressure water.
- Check outdoor fan: Verify the fan runs at full speed when the unit is operating. Replace the fan motor if it does not start or is very slow.
- Check ambient conditions: In very high outdoor temperatures, reduce load by closing curtains and doors to help the system.
- If H3 recurs quickly: A technician should check compressor current, winding resistance, and refrigerant charge. Compressor or PCB replacement may be required.
