Heil air conditioner vibrates excessively and is loud inside the house

Safety first: Turn off power before adjusting the unit or touching refrigerant lines.

• Step 1 – Check level: Place a level on top of the condenser. Shim the pad or unit so it is level front-to-back and side-to-side.
• Step 2 – Tighten fasteners: Tighten cabinet screws and fan grille bolts.
• Step 3 – Isolate line set: Ensure the copper refrigerant lines are not rigidly touching walls or framing. Add foam insulation or clamps with rubber inserts to reduce vibration transfer.
• Step 4 – Compressor mounts: If vibration persists, a technician may need to replace compressor mounting grommets.
