Possible Causes
Faulty indoor DC fan motor, Blocked or jammed indoor blower wheel, Faulty indoor PCB fan driver circuit, Loose fan motor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the indoor unit cover. The fan motor is powered by high voltage DC on inverter models.
- Step 1 – Check for physical obstruction:
- Open the front panel and remove filters.
- Look inside for plastic bags, insulation, or foreign objects blocking the blower wheel.
- Rotate the blower wheel gently by hand; it should spin freely without scraping.
- Step 2 – Inspect fan motor wiring:
- Remove the right-side control cover.
- Locate the multi-pin connector from the fan motor to the PCB.
- Ensure it is fully seated and not burnt or corroded.
- Step 3 – Test operation:
- Restore power and select FAN mode.
- If the fan does not start or starts then stops with E6, the motor or PCB driver is likely faulty.
- Step 4 – Replace fan motor if needed:
- Remove the front panel and lower casing as per Hisense service instructions.
- Slide out the blower wheel and remove the fan motor bracket.
- Install the new Hisense-compatible indoor DC fan motor and reassemble.
- Note: If a new motor does not resolve the issue, the indoor PCB must be replaced by a technician.
