Possible Causes
Aging or drifted outdoor coil sensor, Loose sensor clip on coil, Damaged sensor cable from weather exposure, Faulty outdoor PCB sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power at the outdoor disconnect before removing panels.
- Step 1 – Inspect sensor placement:
- Locate the T2 sensor on the outdoor coil tubing.
- Ensure it is firmly clipped and in good contact with the copper tube.
- Step 2 – Check cable condition:
- Look for cracks in insulation, UV damage, or rodent chew marks.
- Replace the sensor if the cable is compromised.
- Step 3 – Replace sensor if needed:
- Disconnect from the PCB and install a new Hisense-compatible T2 sensor.
- Step 4 – PCB diagnosis: If F2 persists with a new sensor, the outdoor PCB likely has a sensor input fault and should be replaced by a professional.
