Safety first: Turn off power before cleaning the outdoor unit.

• Step 1 – Clear surroundings:
  • Ensure at least 30–50 cm clearance around the outdoor unit on all sides and above.
  • Remove plants, storage items, or covers that restrict airflow.
• Step 2 – Clean condenser coil:
  • Use a soft brush or low-pressure water to remove dust and dirt from the fins.
  • Do not use high-pressure washers that can bend fins.
• Step 3 – Check fan speed:
  • Restore power and observe the outdoor fan.
  • If it runs slowly or intermittently, the motor or control may be failing.
• Step 4 – Technician assistance: If F5 persists after cleaning and ensuring airflow, a technician should check system pressures, fan control, and compressor current draw.
