How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the unit and isolate power before removing covers. Be prepared for water spillage.
- Step 1 – Check filters and coil:
- Dirty filters can cause coil icing and overflow; clean them thoroughly.
- Step 2 – Inspect drain line:
- Locate the drain outlet at the back or side of the indoor unit.
- Use a wet/dry vacuum on the outside end of the drain hose to suck out clogs.
- If accessible, blow compressed air or water through the line to clear blockages.
- Step 3 – Verify unit level:
- Use a level to ensure the indoor unit is slightly tilted toward the drain outlet.
- Adjust mounting plate or brackets if necessary.
- Step 4 – Check drain pan:
- Remove the front cover and inspect the plastic drain pan for cracks or displacement.
- Replace the pan if damaged.
