How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker before working near the indoor fan.
Steps:
- Check for obstructions: Inspect and clear any debris from the cross‑flow fan.
- Spin test: Ensure the fan rotates freely by hand.
- Inspect connector: Verify the fan motor plug is fully inserted into the indoor PCB and not burnt.
If F9 persists: The fan motor assembly usually needs replacement. In some cases, the indoor PCB may also be faulty.
