Possible Causes
Tripped circuit breaker, Blown indoor unit fuse on PCB, Loose power wiring at indoor terminal block, Faulty indoor main PCB power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the main breaker before opening any covers.
Steps:
- Check breaker: Locate the dedicated AC breaker and ensure it is ON. Reset if tripped once; if it trips again, do not force it.
- Verify outlet (if plug type): Test the wall outlet with another appliance.
- Inspect indoor terminal block: Remove the indoor electrical cover and check that all wires are firmly secured and not burnt.
- Check PCB fuse: Many Hitachi indoor PCBs have a small glass or cartridge fuse. If visibly blown, it may indicate a deeper fault; replacing it without finding the cause can lead to repeat failure.
If there is still no power: The indoor PCB power supply is likely defective and should be replaced by a technician.
