Possible Causes
Room temperature above measurement range, Room sensor open circuit, Sensor disconnected, Control board sensor input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Check ambient temperature: If the room is extremely hot (above the unit's rated range), HI may be normal. Improve ventilation and reduce heat sources.
- Inspect sensor: Remove the front cover and verify the room sensor is connected and not broken.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance; an open circuit will cause HI. Replace the sensor if open or physically damaged.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve HI, the main PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
