Possible Causes
Room temperature below operating range, Faulty room temperature sensor reading too low, Sensor shorted, Control board misreading sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Check room temperature: If the room is very cold (near or below 16°C / 61°F), LO may simply indicate that the setpoint cannot be lowered further. Allow the room to warm or switch to fan mode.
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes and plug back in.
- Inspect room sensor: Access the front panel and locate the room sensor near the intake. Ensure it is not touching an extremely cold surface and that its wiring is intact.
- Test and replace sensor: If LO appears even in a warm room, test the sensor resistance. Replace the room temperature sensor if it reads abnormally low resistance (shorted).
