• Thermistor placement: Verify that the room sensor is not directly in the cold air stream from the outlet. If it is, gently reposition it closer to the return air path.
• Set reasonable temperature: Avoid setting the temperature extremely low; use a moderate setpoint to reduce cycling.
• Room size: If the unit is significantly oversized for the room, some cycling is unavoidable. Consider using a lower fan speed or relocating the unit.
• Control board: Persistent erratic cycling may indicate a faulty control board, which may need replacement.
