Steps:

• Level the unit: Ensure the unit is slightly tilted toward the drain side (usually toward the back for window units). Adjust mounting or shims as needed.
• Clean drain channel: Remove the front cover and locate the condensate trough under the evaporator coil. Use a small brush or pipe cleaner to remove slime and debris from the drain hole.
• Flush drain hose: For portable units with a drain hose, disconnect and flush the hose with warm water to clear clogs.
• Inspect drain pan: Check the plastic or metal drain pan for cracks or rust holes. Replace the pan if damaged.
