Possible Causes
Very high humidity conditions, Missing or damaged rear drain spout, Overfilled internal splash ring, Blocked weep holes causing overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- Normal vs abnormal: Some water dripping from the rear is normal. Excessive flow may indicate drainage issues.
- Inspect rear drain spout: Ensure the rear drain spout or plug is properly installed and not broken. Replace the rear drain spout if missing or damaged.
- Clear weep holes: With power off, inspect the base pan for small weep holes and clear any debris.
- Manage drainage: If needed, attach a short drain hose to direct water away from the building foundation.
Note: In very humid weather, increased condensate is expected.
