• 3. Inspect ribbon cable: Locate the flat ribbon or multi-wire harness connecting the display board to the main PCB. Ensure both ends are fully seated and locked in their connectors.
• 4. Reseat connectors: Gently unplug and replug the connectors several times to clean contacts. Do not bend or crease the ribbon.
• 5. Check for damage: Look for cracked solder joints on the display board, corrosion from moisture, or burned components. Replace the display/control panel assembly if damaged.
• 6. Inspect main PCB: Check the connector on the main board for broken pins or burn marks. If present, the main PCB will likely need replacement.
• 7. Test operation: Reassemble the front panel, restore power, and test all buttons and modes. If E6 returns, a board replacement (display PCB or main PCB) is required and may be best handled by a technician.
