Possible Causes

Rapid cycling from thermostat issues, Power interruptions, Control board time delay active after shutdown

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: H1 is often informational, indicating a built-in delay to protect the compressor.

  • Step 1 – Wait: Allow 3–5 minutes after the last compressor stop for the time delay to expire. The unit should restart automatically.
  • Step 2 – Check thermostat: Avoid frequently changing modes or temperature settings. Set a stable temperature and leave the system in COOL mode.
  • Step 3 – Verify power stability: Ensure there are no loose breakers or flickering lights indicating power issues. If present, contact an electrician.
  • Step 4 – If H1 never clears: The control board may be stuck in delay mode; power cycle the system. If still locked, the board may require replacement.
