Possible Causes
Faulty indoor ambient thermistor, loose sensor connector, damaged sensor wiring, indoor PCB sensor circuit failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before opening the indoor unit.
Steps:
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Kelvinator inverter models, the ambient sensor is near the air intake grille or behind the front panel.
- Check connector: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly connected to the indoor PCB and free from corrosion.
- Inspect cable: Look for pinched or cut wires along the sensor harness.
- Test resistance: Measure resistance at room temperature and compare with Kelvinator service data (typically several kΩ). Replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
- Replace PCB if needed: If a new sensor does not clear F1, the indoor PCB may be defective.
