Possible Causes
Loose indoor unit mounting plate, unbalanced blower wheel, loose fan motor screws, vibrating copper pipes touching the casing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before tightening any screws or touching moving parts.
Steps:
- Check mounting: Gently push on the indoor unit. If it rocks or creaks, the wall bracket screws may be loose. Tighten the bracket to the wall and ensure the unit is properly latched.
- Inspect front panel: Ensure the front cover is fully closed and all clips are engaged.
- Check blower wheel: Remove filters and visually inspect the blower for foreign objects or heavy dust buildup. Clean as needed.
- Secure wiring and pipes: Open the side cover where pipes enter the unit and ensure copper pipes and cables are not vibrating against the plastic housing. Use foam or cable ties to secure them.
