Keystone Poor Dehumidification Performance

Keystone air conditioner in dehumidify (DRY) mode does not seem to remove much moisture from the air.

Possible Causes

Room too large for unit capacity, low ambient temperature, restricted airflow, internal condensate not draining properly

Steps:

Check room conditions: Dehumidify mode works best in warm, humid conditions. If the room is cool, moisture removal will be limited.
Ensure proper capacity: Verify the Keystone unit's pint/day or BTU rating is adequate for the space.
Clean filter and coils: Restore airflow to maximize moisture removal.
Verify drainage: Ensure the condensate is draining correctly and the tank is not full, which can cause the unit to cycle off.
