Steps:

• Clean filters: Remove and wash filters thoroughly with warm soapy water. Dry completely.
• Clean evaporator: Access the indoor coil and spray with a no-rinse foaming evaporator cleaner designed for AC units. Allow foam to break down and drain.
• Clean drain pan: Wipe the condensate tray with a cloth soaked in a mild disinfectant solution. Ensure the drain is clear.
• Run fan-only mode: After cleaning, run the unit in Fan mode for 30–60 minutes to dry the coil and interior surfaces.
• Regular maintenance: Clean filters monthly and run fan-only mode for a few minutes before shutting down the unit for long periods.
