Possible Causes
Failed DC indoor fan motor, Faulty fan motor hall sensor feedback, Loose fan motor connector on indoor PCB, Obstructed blower wheel preventing rotation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing the indoor unit cover.
- Step 1 – Check for obstructions: Open the front panel and inspect the cross-flow blower wheel for foreign objects (plastic, insulation, insects). Remove any debris carefully.
- Step 2 – Spin test: Gently rotate the blower wheel by hand. It should spin freely without grinding. If it is stiff, the motor bearings may be failing.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring: Locate the multi-pin connector from the indoor fan motor to the main PCB. Reseat the connector and check for corrosion or burnt pins.
- Step 4 – Power-on test: Restore power and run the unit in FAN mode. If the fan does not start or starts then stops with E6, the motor or its control circuit is likely defective.
- Step 5 – Replace indoor fan motor: Remove the blower assembly following Klimaire service instructions. Replace the DC fan motor with the exact Klimaire part number, reassemble, and test.
