Possible Causes
Open or shorted evaporator sensor, Sensor not properly attached to coil, Damaged sensor harness, Faulty indoor PCB sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working near the evaporator coil.
- Step 1 – Access sensor: Remove the front panel and filters. The T2 sensor is clipped directly to the evaporator coil tubing.
- Step 2 – Check attachment: Ensure the sensor is firmly clipped to the coil and making good thermal contact. Re-clip if loose.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring and connector: Trace the sensor wires to the PCB and reseat the connector. Look for nicks or crushed insulation.
- Step 4 – Replace sensor: If the error remains, install a new Klimaire T2 sensor. If a new sensor does not resolve the issue, the indoor PCB may be defective.
