How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing the indoor front panel.
- Step 1 – Check remote first: Replace remote batteries and verify the remote is transmitting (use a phone camera to see IR LED flash).
- Step 2 – Inspect display board connections: Remove the front cover and locate the small display/IR board. Reseat its ribbon cable or connector to the main PCB.
- Step 3 – Look for damage: Check the display board for moisture damage or burnt components.
- Step 4 – Replace display board: If F5 persists and the main PCB is known good, replace the display/IR board with the correct Klimaire part.
