Possible Causes
Tripped breaker or blown fuse in electrical panel, Faulty Klimaire disconnect or outdoor fuse, Open internal fuse on indoor or outdoor PCB, Failed indoor power supply circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Always turn OFF the main breaker before opening any electrical panels.
- Step 1 – Check household breaker: Locate the breaker feeding the Klimaire system and reset it if tripped. If it trips again immediately, do not force it; there is likely a short.
- Step 2 – Inspect outdoor disconnect: Verify the pull-out or breaker at the outdoor unit is in the ON position and any fuses are intact.
- Step 3 – Confirm indoor power indicator: Some Klimaire models have a small LED on the indoor PCB. Remove the front cover and check if this LED is lit when power is applied.
- Step 4 – Internal fuse check: With power OFF, inspect the indoor and outdoor PCBs for small glass or blade fuses. Replace only with the same rating if blown. If a fuse blows again, a shorted component must be located by a technician.
- Step 5 – Board replacement: If supply power is present but the indoor unit remains dead, the indoor main PCB power supply may have failed and will need replacement.
