Possible Causes

Clogged condensate drain line, Algae or slime buildup in drain pan, Improper slope of drain line, Indoor unit not level on mounting plate

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the unit and protect nearby electrical outlets from water.

  • Step 1 – Turn unit OFF: Stop operation to prevent further water production.
  • Step 2 – Clear drain line: Locate the drain line outlet outside. Use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out clogs for 1–2 minutes. You may see sludge and water discharge.
  • Step 3 – Inspect indoor drain pan: Remove the front cover and check the drain pan for standing water. Clean out debris and slime with a mild disinfectant.
  • Step 4 – Check unit level: Confirm the indoor unit is slightly tilted toward the drain side. Adjust mounting screws or bracket if necessary.
  • Step 5 – Flush line: Pour a small amount of warm water mixed with a bit of vinegar into the drain pan to flush the line. Ensure it flows freely outside.
