Indoor unit makes loud rattling, buzzing, or grinding noises during operation.

Safety: Turn off power before touching the unit or fan components.

Steps:

• Check front panel: Ensure the front cover is fully closed and latched. Loose panels can rattle.
• Inspect blower area: Remove filters and look inside for plastic, paper, or other debris contacting the blower wheel. Remove carefully.
• Tighten mounting: Check that the indoor unit is firmly attached to the wall bracket and that the bracket is secure to the wall.
• Spin blower: Gently spin the blower wheel by hand. If it wobbles or scrapes, the wheel may be loose on the shaft or the motor bearings may be worn.

Technician involvement: If noise persists, a technician can remove the blower assembly, tighten or replace the blower wheel, or replace the indoor fan motor.
