How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off cooling to prevent compressor damage.
- Thaw the system: Turn thermostat to OFF and fan to ON. Allow several hours for all ice to melt.
- Restore airflow: Replace filters, open all registers, and ensure blower is operating correctly.
- Monitor operation: After thawing and restoring airflow, run cooling and watch for new ice. If icing returns, call a technician to check refrigerant charge and the Luxaire TXV.
