Indoor Unit Water Leakage
Water dripping from the front of the indoor unit or from the air outlet

Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain line, Improper indoor unit tilt, Frozen evaporator coil melting, Cracked or misaligned drain pan
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the unit and protect nearby furniture and electronics from water damage.
Steps to fix:
- 1. Check filters and coil: Dirty filters and coils can cause icing and overflow. Clean filters and coil as described earlier.
- 2. Clear drain line: Locate the drain pipe outside and use a wet/dry vacuum to suck out blockages. You may see algae, sludge, or debris.
- 3. Verify indoor unit slope: The indoor unit should be slightly tilted toward the drain side. If water drips from the opposite side, the mounting plate may need adjustment.
- 4. Inspect drain pan (if accessible): Remove the front cover and check that the plastic drain pan is not cracked and that the drain outlet is not blocked.
When to call a technician: If leaks persist after cleaning and drain clearing, the unit may need to be remounted or the drain pan replaced.
