Possible Causes
Normal expansion/contraction of plastic parts, Louvers moving against stops, Slightly loose casing clips
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before adjusting louvers or casing.
Steps:
- Identify source: Listen closely to determine if the noise comes from louvers, casing, or internal components.
- Check louvers: Ensure louvers move freely and are not hitting obstructions. Adjust their angle.
- Secure casing: Gently press on different parts of the casing while the unit runs to locate loose areas. Tighten screws or add thin foam tape where panels meet.
- Note: Mild clicking during temperature changes is often normal and not a fault.
