Unit displays C1 and may not respond to remote control.

Safety: Turn off and unplug the unit before removing the control panel.

Steps:

• Check remote: Replace the remote batteries and verify that the remote is the correct NewAir model for the unit.
• Clear line of sight: Ensure nothing is blocking the IR receiver window on the front panel. Clean it with a soft cloth.
• Test receiver: If the keypad works but the remote does not and C1 appears, the IR receiver on the display PCB may be faulty.
• Replace display board: On most models, the IR receiver is integrated into the display/control PCB. Replace this board if the receiver has failed.
